Who are we?
PASA is made up of MPA and I.Ph.D. students who are interested in networking and socializing with students and faculty outside the classroom to enrich their experience at UMKC. PASA is a great group of passionate and ambitious students. We look forward to continually developing PASA and increasing student and community member involvement. We encourage all MPA students to get involved in PASA in any way they can.

What is our purpose?
PASA’s purpose is to engage students academically, professionally, and socially in the study and practice of public administration.
What do we do?
* New Student Orientation
Each fall and spring we welcome new students into the program.
* Networking and Community Service
PASA provides opportunities for students to enhance their MPA experience by hosting a variety of social gatherings for students and alumni. In addition PASA offers opportunities for professional development by awarding scholarships for formal speaker events and professional luncheons. We also reach out to the community through monthly community service projects.
* PASA Alumni Luncheons
This semi-annual event brings MPA Alumni to campus to share where they are at now, how they use their degree,and offer advice about networking and the job search process.
* The PASA Professional Panel
Practitioners working in each of the three MPA emphasis areas: Nonprofit Management, Urban Administration, and Health Services Administration share their professional insights with MPA students at this semi-annual luncheon event.
* Graduation Parties
We host a celebration for graduates each May and December. As with all PASA events, good (and free) food abounds!* Other EventsIt is an exciting time to be a member of PASA!! We are planning other events and are involved in other projects throughout the year.
