Event Description:

Over the next year, Congress and the president will be called upon to reconsider all major elements of the U.S. ‘safety net,’ as well as the foundations of the U.S. tax system. The reason why ‘everything is on the table’ is the confluence of a major Supreme Court decision, a watershed general election, large budget deficits, and the critical dates of six major pieces of legislation.

• What are the choices that the president and Congress will be called upon to make that will affect the working lives and retirement of every American?
